Overview
Established in 1949, Baroda Medical College is a prominent government medical institution, affiliated with Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, and situated in central Vadodara next to the 1,500-bed Sir Sayajirao General Hospital.
The college operates on a 36-acre urban campus, providing state-of-the-art academic and clinical facilities .
It admits 250 MBBS students annually (15% All-India Quota, 85% Gujarat state quota), along with ~200+ postgraduate seats across MD/MS and 2 seats in M.Ch

Admissions
Step 1: MBBS
Through NEET-UG → MCC All-India Quota + ACPUGMEC State counselling → document verification → seat allotment → fee payment
Step 2: MD/MS/ M.Ch
Based on NEET-PG/SS → state PG counselling → verification → seat allotment .
Step 3: Mandatory documents
NEET scorecard, 10th/12th certificates, MBBS degree/internship completion, ID & category/ domicile proof, medical fitness certificate.
Placements
Step 1: MBBS interns
rotate through clinical departments at SSG Hospital, with stipends per Kerala norms (~₹6,000–₹28,000/month in other govts) though Gujarat specifics vary.
Step 2: MD/MS students
receive ₹30k/yr tuition waiver; stipend typically ~₹65k–70k/month (govt medical college standard).
Step 3: Career Pathways
Many positions in Gujarat government hospitals, SSG Hospital Govt roles, private clinics, and PG medical education.
Step 4: Bond Policy
AIQ students face 1-year rural bond or ₹20 lakh deposit; state quota bond duration is 3 years
